Ever since being captured as a child in the seventies by David Attenborough's Life on Earth series my first love has always been the related subjects of ecology and gardening. Following this passion I graduated from Sheffield University with a degree in Pure and Applied Ecology. Finding a lack of work opportunities in this field I spent 13 challenging but rewarding years teaching in the UK, Middle East and South East Asia.
In 2008 I decided to turn to my career of choice and undertook a diploma in garden design from the Institute of Garden Design. I graduated with distinction and have since set up my own garden design business, Sheaf Garden and Landscape Design. My approach to garden design firmly puts the customer’s wishes first and I collaborate fully and regularly with customers to ensure that they get what they want.
In order to further my abilities and qualifications I am now studying for the RHS level 2 certificate in Horticulture.
Most recently I am proud to build an association with Dragonfly Landscapes (www.dragonflylandscapes.co.uk) a company set up in 2007 that have 18 years experience in the building trade. Dragonfly Landscapes priories are customer service and a very personalised and attentive approach to landscaping and building skills that are second to none.

I aim to be as open as possible about my fees. Garden plans start at around £200 - £300 for a small terraced house and increase in line with the size and complexity of the design. An average suburban garden would cost around £400 - £700. This may seem expensive but you will get a stunning garden that you will love to spend time in and get pleasure from for many years, perhaps decades.
